If you want to deliver orders with your car, it’s a legal requirement for you to have a valid merchandise transport licence if the payload of your car exceeds 500 kg.
This is very important in order for you to be covered by Deliveroo’s rider insurance.

How do I know if the payload of my car exceeds 500 kg?
It's easy, you have to look at your vehicle registration document and do a simple calculation: subtract the unladen vehicle mass from the gross vehicle mass.
1) If the weight result is less than 500 kg, then you have to send Deliveroo your vehicle registration document via this link.
2) If the weight result is more than 500 kg, then you have to ask the FPS Mobility & Transports a merchandise transport licence.
