Confirming your identity with Deliveroo

To ensure that everyone who works with us meets all the requirements to do so, we may ask you to complete an identity check via the app.

How will it work?

We’ll send you a message in the app asking you to complete an identity check, along with instructions on how to do this. We recommend completing the check as soon as possible, completing the check after 10 mins will count as a failure to complete the check, and repeated failure to complete your check may affect your ability to continue working with Deliveroo.

Please make sure to follow the steps:

1. Tap the purple button to access the form
2. Complete the form within 10 minutes of receiving the message, this includes submitting the following information:
-Photo of your Belgium National ID or residence permit proving your right to work as a self-employed person in Belgium
-A photo of yourself (account owner/substitute) in front of the restaurant and make sure the restaurant name and the face is visible / recognisable.
-Or, If you are already en route to the customer, please take a photo of yourself with the order receipt.

Here are some examples:
When you are waiting at the restaurant

When filling out the form and submitting the photo, you should ensure your face, the restaurant name or the order number are clearly visible in the photo so we can identify you, depending if you are waiting at the restaurant or en route to the customer. Failing to complete right to work checks may result in your account being closed.

Please make sure that you and your substitutes always carry your Belgium National ID or visa when you are riding with Deliveroo. After submitting your selfie to confirm your identity, if a substitute is using your account, please have them take a photo of their right to work documents. Once again, we ask that you do this as soon as you can so that you can continue to ride with Deliveroo as normal.

How to take a good selfie

1. Make sure your face is well lit - take the photo inside or with a light in front of you
2. Remove any glasses to avoid glare
3. Stay still to avoid a blurry photo
4. Ensure the restaurant name or order number of the order you are currently on, is clearly visible
